Twin Valley High School Community Devastated by Fatal Weekend Crash

Last Friday two Chester County teenagers were killed in a car crash.  16 year old Montgomery Wood, who had recently obtained his driving permit, drove off Bear Dam Road shortly after 3 a.m. Friday morning.  His car hit a utility pole and a tree.

Both Wood and his 15 year old passenger Brittany Leger were killed in the accident.  Montgomery was declared dead at the accident scene and Brittany was transported to Brandywine Hospital where she died from her accident injuries.

Two 15 year old boys who were riding in the backseat were taken to Reading Hospital.  One boy is reported to be in critical condition and the other  boy is in serious condition.

Speed is believed to be a factor in this fatal Chester County crash.

All four teenagers attended Twin Valley High School and were described as good students with promising futures by school officials.

We encourage other teenage drivers to drive safely to avoid this type of tragedy, we extend our sympathy to the families of Montgomery Wood and Brittany Leger and we wish a speedy recovery to the others involved in this accident.
